I was asked why I am in favor of small to medium sized businesses. Because they become a part of our community. Kellex Seating is one example, it started over a garage and now employees 150 people in Valdese that are treated like family with big holiday lunches and recognition awards. They invest in community projects with funding and volunteer days. Same with Bimbo Bakeries. Mid-size companies grow and expand in older facilities – like Toner Machining Technologies and EJ Victor. With variety in the county, if one business or one sector struggles, the community can still move forward.
