My mom is Patricia Jacumin Zimmerman (still in Valdese) and my dad- Glenn Richard Zimmerman (1935-1991). From my mom and dad, I learned about working long, hard hours during the week to make a living, home cooked dinner on the table together every evening, doing house work and yard work on Saturday, and spending time with grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins following church on Sunday. They led by example helping anyone in need and teaching that no one is better than anyone else. These lessons of hard work and helping others continue to be my core values – 1) Making things better and 2) being effective
