I serve on a state wide coalition that worked with legislators to include funding for state trails in the state budget. With that, each state trail was assigned a nonprofit – one being Friends of Fonta Flora State Trail, for which I serve as President. The 12 nonprofits formed a committee and I serve as the chair. To make sure we were knowledgeable about the processes of using the funds, I worked with State Parks to organize a 2-day meeting for our group this week.
